Bang Babylon Kok! Debauchery Limitation programme

Ok I am back in Bali now, I had a safe flight from Bangkok at 6am and along the way made friends with a traveling clothing designer from California on the plane from Bangkok to Bali. Instantly we got on well and have been sharing a room together. It appears Bali/Kuta is entering High Season. Thus there is very limited vacant accommodation within the psychological price range I am operating within. As a result we have agreed to become room mates..

This one is going to be about Bangkok..So my two friends from England arrive and we basically embark on a week of Bangkok nightlife as three single and pretty much ready to experience anything men.

Thailand has beautiful women with the odd exception to the rule...

Wow let me just inform those that have never been to the city that Bangkok most definitely can deliver a great night and a morning out under these circumstances. And by great I mean utterly amazing on all levels as all five senses are elevated and amplified to places I know mine have never been elevated to before. For those of you who have been there I will be writing this section in Code and this is the code,

Nana Skytrain, Sukhamvit Road Soi 8, Soi 11, Soi 3 and Nana Plaza Soi 4, than a stroll down Soi Cowboy on Soi 23..

Bangkok Blur

Bangkok Blur

This is a Bangkok route map to worldly pleasure over and above measure.. No drugs here maybe a few beers a couple of games of pool then a whole night of refusing a night out with the some of the fittest, sexiest, most gorgeous women I have ever come across. This is as they catch your eye, come up to you in a bar, in the street, in a club, hold and caress your arm. We were just trying to avoid them however the alluring, seductive gaze of their deep brown eyes and perfect bone structure would just pull our attention in, They would say to me Dan and Tim with complete conviction, please take me away me with you, please can I come follow you, you are a handsome man please I want to be with you wherever you go..

Ok, I am not so easily fooled but wish I was,  unfortunately I am aware this is a pretty big industry here and women are looking for a way out of the poverty that they face in such a big city with no state financial help. However these are not the Red light, skeletal, acne  infested, smackhead, cracked out whores I used to see as I drove past  the corners of Stapleton Road Easton Bristol. These are women, many of whom do not smoke cigarettes, do not drink alcohol, eat well and are not addicted to drugs soft or hard, snorted smoked or injected.. These girls are on a surface appearance level “hot as hell” (In a way that could seriously burn you) …..Their bodies, faces and smiles, radiate real human beauty, their teeth, straight and white, skin, blemishless and smooth. Their finger nails and toe nails perfectly pedicured and manicured and their bodies resembling finely tuned violins.

There was not just an occasional beauty here and there, instead more like multitudes, It seemed there was a whole city full of stunning women with only the occasional rough one here and there that had been on the game too long or not been so physically blessed..

Seriously, we all thought we had died and woken up in heaven in some of the places we visited.. But like I said we were walking down the street refusing to take them out or away with us. This was the Irony because when we have been single men back in the UK at previous times in our lives we all agreed nearly all the women back home in the UK do not even give us a second glance as we stroll down the street, let alone an open invitation to show them a good time..

This time in Bangkok has really stirred up some feelings for me, I do not know why but I will aim to articulate this as best I can. It is obvious there is a huge industry in Bangkok selling pleasure, sex, gratification, girlfriends, future partners, future wives etc. Also there is something pretty sickening about seeing an white overweight 55-60 year old European Man with a slim attractive Thai woman at his side, on this front It all felt very base and carnal.  However this was not (quite yet) and Tim, Dan and I were like young boys in a candy shop operating on a debauchery limitation programme. Our tour guide from the UK nick name “Lung” from Bristol decided that we had been spending too much time in the wrong places and decided to take us to a bar he thought we may like. Lung has a Thai wife and seems to spend his time living between Bristol and Bangkok with what seems like a grin from ear to ear across his face.

I have been to Bangkok twice before accompanied by girlfriends/women and had a very different experience. Bangkok for couples offers great lonely planet box ticking days out, it has tons of temples, museums and markets to visit. Combine this with about 6 Gargantuan 5 storey, air con shopping malls around Siam Central

Bangkok Shopping mall

Bangkok Shopping mall

and you will be fully occupied as you pass away your time together amongst the food courts and enjoy and sample the range of products they have on offer.

HOWEVER…..

Bangkok as a single man with two single sexually rampant party animals from Bristol is a a completely different experience. So here we are Sukhumvit Road, Take a left turn into Soi 4, try to politely reject the alluring glances of all the women sitting front of house in the open fronted bars, Ok, so we then take a left into

Nana Entertainment Plaza,

This is like the red light district of Amsterdam on steroids, our senses were assaulted with absolute hoards of attractive and highly sexualised females coming towards us like cats eyes in the fast lane on a motorway. We manage to make our way up the stairs to a club which I cannot remember the name. We are ushered to our stools which are placed alongside a catwalk that is shaped like a meandering S bend chicane from one side of the room to the other. The room itself was wallpapered with mirrors and the catwalk had white translucent perspex floors lit from below. So there we are, all sitting on our stalls trying to catch our breath as we  lift our eyeballs from our collarbones and put them back into their sockets.

Now there we are sat down on high stools (like babies) and at eye level, gyrating and grinding in a serpent like manner are about 50 to 70 women evenly spaced like dominoes along the catwalk. The uniform is a pair of calf high black heeled boots, a small black bra and a tiny black thong. Ok, so its apparent we have ended up in a “Go Go” bar. There is no lap dancing here though, just girls with a small round number badge pinned to their left breast. Its all about eye contact at this point as their eyes move as smoothly around the room as their bodies do around their shiny chrome poles. This is not a lap dancing or pole dancing display  however, there is no wild acrobatics or girls grinding on mens laps within the club. No this is a catwalk with evenly spaced poles along the entirety providing some uniformity and equal spacing for the girls on display. They are not performing for an audience but are real life manikins available for rent to whom they chose.

That is correct, They decide who they like the look of, and they decide who is going to have the opportunity to take them home from the crowd and will try and entice their customer with a visual display of their lithe, svelte, exquisitely honed bodies. If they decide they like the look of you they will lock eyes like a sorceress, a black magic women and begin to cast their physical sexual spell over you, eyes locked on, locked in, mesmerizing and captivating your complete attention as they perform a private display within the crowded room. If you lie whats on offer you pay the owner of the bar a release fee of approx 600 baht (8uk pounds) as an introduction fee what happens when she leaves the club is between you and her..

Ok so there are 50/70 women but only 20/30 men in the club, the attention me Tim and Dan are getting from these women is unbelievable, a sensory overload, a stick of dynamite to our eyes and brains. Looking at each other we said pretty much in synchronized unison, that we could not have imagined such a sight, even in our wildest dreams. Seriously I have visited a lap dancing bar or two in Bristol before, also I have seen Peter Stringfellows establishment on television. Include a few scenes from films  such as Closer, Beverly Hills Cop, Dusk til Dawn, Striptease with Demi Moore etc then that is my limited knowledge of such venues. This however was a different world entirely, to be honest we all agreed that our brains could not have imagined what 70 girls in G strings gyrating at eye level giving us eye contact would actually look like, not including the endless reflections of perfect butts in all the surrounding mirrors. Honestly if you were measure to the combined body fat from all 70 and girls and weigh it, as my friend Sarah Helen Dean (Skye) describes it “you would not have enough fat to fry a bacon sandwhich”

These girls were lean, ,lean, lean

Pert Pertness Pertained! My senses as a creature driven by testosterone and visual stimulation were on absolute overload. This blew us all away, BOOM!!!

Ok I also forgot to say the spotlights were bright, so all blemishes, if there were any would have been on display. Many of the girls showed visible signs that they had children but this was not so obvious as their small rows of stretch marks around their abdomens had been physically honed into submission as not to affect their chosen career. Like I mention although there were approx fifty to seventy girls, the mirrors on every wall turned the visual display into something like 300+ an endless supply of feminine sexual beauty a complete writhing gyrating flesh fest!

dickhead?

So I know I probably sound like a dick head writing this to any of my female readers but this was the reality of this place. We stayed approximately an hour, had a couple of beers and then we all walked out alone that night, deciding that picking a girl from a line up on a catwalk was not our style. (too much choice so no choice made!) However I know that if I spent enough time in Bangkok then this moral boundary I have set could become very flexible. Simply though, for me, my blog is about my journey as I aim to walk in the direction of my dreams but like I said earlier I couldn’t even have dreamed up this situation so I guess it was not mine to have at this time..

Its weird really, I know many adults from the UK and other countries approaching mid thirties early forties. Many of these people including myself have experienced loving, committed long term relationships that have now all ended leaving a trail of heart ache and destruction in their wake. We/ I are still single and meeting the so called “one” or soulmate / life partner seems more and more difficult as each day passes. I seem increasingly more incompatible with western socialized females on so many levels. I ammore choosy and physically less desireable as each day ageing discgracefully passes.  I also feel as though their expectations within a relationship and what a man should or should not be able to provide are way off what I am able to/ or even prepared to offer at this stage in my journey.

As a result of my past experiences I have found that many (not all) western socialized females approaching mid to late thirties are very materialistic, consider financial security, career prospects and the thought of a big house and a nice car as pretty high on their value agenda.In the past I have discovered most have seen my creativity and pursuit of my dreams as something they need to purge from me rather than encourage. Now if I am blatantly and no doubt offensively honest, “many” and I chose this word “many” not “all” carefully, western women (and men) once they have hit thirty start ;

1.Getting fat, physically unattractive, comfort eat, sit and watch shitty mainstream television programmes such as big brother, I am a celebrity get me out of here, come dancing blah blah. This physical inactivity makes them fatter and more unfit, carrying large gross amounts of cellulite around their butts and stomachs due to the toxins they consume daily. Also with an attitude towards men which is as equally ugly and unattractive.

2.Unhealthy habits, smoking, drinking, junk food eating and general gossip mongers focusing on fashion, glamour and celebrity nonsense. Damn that shit is so boring to me and I feel that this Eastenders stereotype is mass produced and on bulk buy in most British towns and cities.

Of course I am aware I am not by any means that wonderful myself and I welcome the criticism and I know that there are exceptions to this ignorant, raw, bigoted opinion of mine but this is my blog and this is what I see. I also believe many of the western malesd obviously are no better however I am talking about the differences between available British women on the singles market and the average Bangkok hooker. I think now if I had to make a choice between the two as a potential life partner, the Thai women would and probably will win hands down on every decision making front.

Did we or Didnt we?

Not what it seems, honestly!

Apple

Apple

Above and below are a few pictures of my friend/ acquaintance  Apple, we spent a couple of evenings hanging out together eating and walking the streets of Bangkok, Apple (according to her story) has had a terribly difficult life that made me feel lucky to have mine, She just miscarried twins at 5 months as a result of a fall and is also just getting divorced from her American husband of 7 years, she is now working the streets to make some money. Compared to most Thai people she spoke pretty good English and I discovered she has the most beautiful soul and strength of character, I clicked with Apple and she made me laugh more than most people can, friendly and open, attentive and humble, not to mention as streetwise and alert as they come. She had nothing on her except her ID card and was literally living from moment to moment financially. She was as crazy as the (crystal meth) look in her eye suggests and as crazy as the life she is living. Yet all she wanted to do was go out and dance and have someone whisk her off her feet to a better life..

Apple

Apple

Apple

Apple

We did meet some wonderful Thai women and we hung out during the day, ate out, went dancing etc. On separate occasions they all explained that they have children with no state financial help, they see their jobs dancing and working the bars as a way of making them noticeable to western men in the hope one day they will meet a husband who will take them away from this kind of work, then introduce them to a different way of life. Personally, I had three  women ask me if they could come back to Bali with me and just be with me. I said no but inside I so dearly wanted to say yes, because when these girls looked into my eyes I could see so clearly their compassion, warmth and beauty and a hopeful longing for a better life. However the most attractive and most endearing quality was their humility, and this is possibly the most wonderful yet most difficult human quality to attain  and it just oozed out of many of their actions.(however I am prepared to accept I am just a naive numbskull totally delused by a small but and a pretty face!)

I guess fast food makes you fat and humble pie keeps you slim (diet tip from Thailand No. 1)

So Bangkok touched my soul and I  boarded the plane to Bali alone. However I have met an American Named Ella on the plane, very beautiful as you can see and not only is she intelligent she is cool and very creative too. There would have been a time when I could not stop myself falling head over heels in love with a woman like Ella and pursued that  cause and outcome eagerly. However I can not shake the look and experience of the Thai women I hung out with out of my soul. Which is good as it make for being better roomates… Sexy as hell though!

Ela

Ella my new room mate in Bali

Me, Tim and Dan all agreed if we do not find our life partners then a trip to Thailand it will be..Seriously, no joke we have all had no real long term success with our previous western girlfriends and our combined logic has now agreed that we could definitely meet our dream women in Bangkok. Therefore logical progression would conclude that if we were to do this and take her away with us into our individual lives/worlds we would also be making their dreams come true as well. This would result in two people together both living their dreams which can not be such a bad thing.. I mean do not get me wrong I know a dream can turn into a nightmare, but because I have had so many nightmares in my life I am sure I can see one coming now and just occasionally when that happens just need to pull back a little and become a human being instead of a human doing..

So it looks like  Thailand has become a back up plan for love, a plan B and we found out this,……

“step into your dream,

you can always awake

its time for the real thing

and its all yours to take”

OK REALITY CHECK! Jason has awoken (with one eye still closed) Thailand has pretty weak waves compared to Indo so no need for a Thai wife with a Thai passport… Damn!! that dream was a good one whilst it lasted…..

Bangkok Revisited

Just a quick  update, decided to leave Koh Lanta and book and early flight back to Bangkok.. I am in Bangkok now until 24th June when I return to Bali, I must confess the last few days and nights here have been bizarre in terms of experience emotion for me. Bangkok is an extremely culturally diverse and hosts an highly concentrated mix of colours, flavours, sights, sounds, and vibrations, It has been very enriching yet also very challenging to my existing thought patterns. I am realising how different my processes, prejudices and general ideas  I have been  pre programmed in me from a life in the UK are from the traditions, methods, attitudes and actions from the people dwelling in Asia.

I am presently sat in an internet cafe on Koh San Road waiting for two good friends of mine from who arrived in Bangok last night on a journey starting in Bristol. Their names are Tim and Dan and we all share a long history of a love for skateboarding. Ill keep this short until I get some time to upload some good hopefully interesting content from my travels so far.

Bangkok Honesty / Karma note

Yesterday I went to purchase a new macbook magsafe laptop charger to replace the one that blew up in Koh Lanta.. Bottom line is I went to use my laptop this morning and I could not find it anywhere. After feeling my heart palpitate as it skipped a whole bunch of beats I remembered that I had left it under the pillow in the hotel that I checked out of the day before. Basically 36 hours had passed since I had checked out in the search of cheaper accommodation. My main reasoning for this was my previous room was 650baht aday 53baht to a GB pound, I managed to find a room for 280 baht in the same road and I thought this now financially allowed me (within the financial part of my conscience) a 2hr oil massage each day as a reward for the saving I had made. Very obviously there is something intrinsically very nurturing and healing when a beautiful Thai woman rubs her hands all over your body for two hours working out all the knots in your muscles from 6 months of constant surfing and paddling.. (I actually want to expand on this) however not all massage and health spas operate under the same principles and I thought maybe a trade off for a “happy ending” (to be explained) was losing my laptop in the universal Karma stakes.. I guess not so happy endings all round!

I seriously cannot begin to explain articulately the emotions relating to this. On par with finishing with a girlfriend! Damn electrical devices are becoming so valuable in my world, not due to their purchase price but the data and content that they store.. I literally leapt up and ran to the previous hotel, there was an unfamiliar face at the desk and basically between heartbeats I explained I had left my laptop in my room, she said nothing stood up and walked away. In was just think Oh fuck! I havent backed up any photos for a month and still need to sort out some VAT and Income Tax stuff and all the info was on my laptop, not to mention to replace it is about a grand (2-3 months living and surfing budget in Bali)

However to my delight upon her return she had my laptop in her hand,.. relief beyond belief,  now I really have had to address my short term memory loss issues as a result of all the repeated head injuries over the years and from smoking too much weed as a young man. ( Evidence for case weed affects memory)

Technical Note 1.

I have been having techincal problems with my blog and server hosting recently and I have not been able to upload any photographs for quite some while now, so when this issue is repaired I have a whole bunch to go up which should give those of you who have not visited Indonesia or Bangkok a general insight into the culture and scenery here….I will be inserting all content into previous posts where appropriate as I want this blog to be as comprehensive and accurate as I am able under the circumstances I am preesented with whilst travelling.

Burglary attempt Koh Lanta..

In the accommodation where I am staying I was awoken approx 1.30 am by the sound of my bedroom door lock being tampered with, I walked to the door and quickly opened it to find a burglar and some kind of lock picking device trying to enter my room. I opened the door to find him crouched tampering with the lock in the dark with a torch. As soon as I saw the torch I instinctively shouted Oi!! in his face very shocked he leapt up turned and ran instantly. This is not a good situation as I am in a locked room in a locked house. I do not think he was going to be violent but just looking to steal whatever. There were three people in the house I was asleep but the other two had the tv on in their room so he went for my room

We then found out he had robbed a lot of valuables and money from the homestay next door first. It appears the locals do not budget for low season so well. During the high season they make a lot of money from the visiting tourists coming to the islands for sea and sun between Oct and Feb, however I have been informed many then spend it all at the same time. So unfortunately it appears that in the low season a few go around and steal from the local western and Hindu run businesses on the island to make up for this lack of income. I have been informed and experienced first hand last night that the island police do not do much about this as it is a muslim community and the locals are not stealing from the muslim businesses and homes.

The stealing takes place in the form of fuel from bikes and possessions from peoples homes and business whilst they are asleep. I am not happy with this situation because I do not want to get tangled up with burgulars or the law if I have to protect myself.

The vibe on the Island of Koh Lanta felt pretty shitty when I arrived and it has not improved, its great to see my family but Ive decided my time here is up so Im getting a bus somewhere else later, just not sure where.

“Closed Lanta” Thailand..

A sunny day at last!

A sunny day at last!

Diving trip

Diving trip

Koh Lanta is pretty much shut down for the low season, however the water is still 30 degrees Celsius the sun shining and I managed to find a dive trip leaving today at 7.45am to one of the small uninhabited islands off of Koh Lanta. The island was called Koh Ha and had a very clear lagoon so I took my video camera in its housing and decided to get a few close up shots of the wonderful coral and sea life. At one point I came a bit to close to a black and white banded sea snake and managed to catch it on film. I do not like poisonous snakes, and for some reason recently I have been seeing lots of them flattened out as a result of them crossing the roads in the wrong places at the wrong times.

Technical note 1., the white balance on the video camera is a nightmare to set correctly because the water on the correct setting is deep blue and so is the coral and so are the fish.. a few experiments and I managed to get a white balance setting the worked well underwater but not at all above, it turned the sky and clouds red.. I think the sea messes with the red light rays on the RGB spectrum. (note to self; set white balance reading on the water surface)

Technical note 2., I was on a trip with 4 people taking various stages in their PADI openwater training. I was tagging along with a mask and snorkel and they were diving to depths between 18 and 26 meters. Since watching the Big Blue about 15 years ago a film about free diving I have always been fascinated by this activity. I have found whilst surfing large waves that one needs to be able to relax and hold their breath for sometimes a lot longer than desired when being held down in the exploding white water. However it is not how long you can hold your breath, rather how long you can stay underwater once you have had the wind knocked out of you on the way over, in and down.

Presently I am feeling fitter after surfing for 6 months solid and was curious to see how deep I could go on one breathe with fins, mask and snorkel so I borrowed one of the divers depth gauge wrist watches and swam to the deepest part of the sea I could find not too far from the boat. I managed 15.5/ 16metres on one lung full approx 45-50ft. This was pretty fun and I definitely felt slightly addicted to the idea of trying to get deeper each time. However this was the deepest part of the sea without swimming a lot further away from the boats anchoring. Because I was excited about having a depth guage for the first time I felt as though I wasnt really relaxed enough to freedive deeper safely. !6 metres and I definitely felt at the finite edge of sensible safe practice as I felt my lungs go into small spasms on the way back up, I ve also had a headache all afternoon.

So with practice I would like to try again one day,  20 metres I think is an achievable goal..

Technical Note 3. New dive masks have plastic coating on the inner lens surface and this means they always fog up even with lots of saliva or anti fog. I have been informed white toothpaste left over night on the surface dissolves this. I didnt do this and it fogged up all the time, this was driving me nuts..

Technical Note 4. Ewa Marine Underwater camera housings, I have a soft case for my Sony vx2100e made by this company, it is such a pain in the arse to use and not at all user friendly regarding the controls and on and off rec button. The camera slides about inside the bag and it really feels low tech and irritating to use, I feel it was also way overpriced for the small low tech piece of vinyl and bag clamp it amounts to. However the alternative was a 10kg hard  housing which is no good either for traveling and also more costly so I am in mixed mines about underwater filming and photography and whether I want to do it. A humbling experience seeing how poor my filming was today upon playback, a few usable clips but mainly pretty bad so I have decided to blame my tools, or at least 85%!

Family stuff, I have been hanging out with my brother, his wife Moon and his daughter Kaliana. Also my sister natalie and her boyfriend Ian. This is the first time we have seen each other as a group for over ten years so I know its a positive time for us as a family.

Michelle Moffat Koh Lanta

Michelle Moffat Koh Lanta

Michelle left yesterday to go on her path as a English teacher in a Muslim school in Ranong. Admin wise as a result of internet access I managed to book a flight back to Bangkok for 17th June (Airasia.com) super affordable lots of promo deals. I have heard from two of my friends from Bristol UK Tim and Dan that they will be in Bangkok on the 20th.. So I moved my flight to be there for this. If they get there way this could get very debauched and messy so I am preparing my self control and self discipline muscles for the 3 days I will meet up with them..should be fun I am looking forward to it.

Little thieves on the Island drained all the fuel out of my moped the other night, this never happened in Bali in 6 month a Hindu community with a foundation based on Karma. Koh Lanta is a muslim based island, the prices are doubled in the low season and I am over charged every day by the locals for most purchases, except in 7/11.

So I reluctantly admit a score point to Industrialisation for bar codes and price regulation for all consumers, Predjudice segregation and racism sucks and it feels especially bad being seen as a walking dollar sign which is how I have felt amongst the shop owners here. So 7/11 for the next few days, the air con in 7/11 makes you want to go their just to stand in the shop…..

Koh Lanta Thailand..family stuff

Koh Lanta Beach Klong Kong

Koh Lanta Beach Klong Kong

Indo Visa for the next surfing expedition in Indo is now safely stamped in my passport,… yehaaa! all good. Made it to Koh Lanta in Thailand a small Island off  Thailand south coast, no waves here so just spending time with my brother and sister and their partners and family. All relaxed here it is low season on the Island so nearly all the shop, restaurants and snorkeling boat trips to other islands are all closed. Not a lot to do except cruise about on a moped, watch palm tree lined sunsets and look for open coffee shops. Saw a few elephants today..

3 Annoying things about Thailand today…

1.Electrical supply is all over the place I just blew my charger for my laptop as a result, finding an applemac charger on a remote island is next to impossible

2.Internet cuts out every 10 15 minutes for at least 15 minutes at a time..

3.Because it is low season the local Thai businesses on Koh Lanta (mosty muslim owned) have put stickers over all the prices of the menus doubling the price of food and drinks. The mentality appears to be that as a result of there being less tourists on the island they need to charge twice as much to make up for it..

So far I have not decided how long I will be here but I will aim to get some pics up and editorial content on my blog from the last month in Sumatra and week in Bangkok, however I find sitting in front of a lap top boring as hell..

I am staying at Jai Dee Home Klong Nin Beach which is great, Two steps front the front lounge to the beach, Good seating with hammocks, tables chairs scattered with great sunset views, very affordable accomodation, good food, good vibe, Internet and easing the dissapointment that nearly everything I came to do is not possible due to low season closures…

However all that aside Koh Lanta is still very beautiful and I do not get to see my brother and sister much since they moved there, like once in the last 11 years below are some pics of my family and some of the sights things I have seen on Koh Lanta…

Hopefully I will pick up my visa and passport tomorrow then ill be heading to Koh Lanta an island down south to see my brother and sister..and get back to the sea… no surf though which sucks

Bangkok part 2

On the flight to Bangkok with Air Asia I met a Woman from South Africa called Michelle Moffat. Michelle decided to quit her job as a chartered accountant and travel the world. 31 years old with lots of stories to tell. We have been hanging out since the flight sharing a room and taxi rides about to save some cash. It is great travelling on your own in the respect that there  is always a free space for someone else in your world and this vacuum seems to attract the people that somehow are able to help you learn the things that life / Universe is trying to enlighten you with. Michelle is as intelligent as she is funny, and on occasion as testing to my patience as a human being can be can be, however we get on well and laugh a lot, we have both learnt a lot of things as a result of spending time together. In fact Michelle has been great she has accompanied to and from the Indonesian Embassy and succesfully managed to convince me to visit as many of the tourist spots listed in the Lonely planet guide to bangkok as physically possible. Michelle likes her guide books and is working her way through the information listed as meticulously as she would have audited Barclays accounts in London. That is her way and I thank her for that I have now managed to take lots of pictures of shiny gold temples and big fat buddahs!
